Starring Marty as a singing cowboy, known only as "Drifter". Marty taped this TV series taped in black and white just when color television was on the rise. They never aired, but instead, Marty put them away in storage.

After Marty's first heart attack, Ralph Emery set up a "Battle of Songsters" between Merle Haggard and Marty Robbins. He says he chose these two because of their mutual respect for each other.
